Government isn’t using your money the way it should.
People in Broome County are working harder than ever, but too often it feels like we’re not seeing that reflected in our community. Costs are rising, infrastructure is being neglected, and decisions are being made without clear accountability.
I’m running because I believe local government should work for the people who live here. That means making smart, responsible decisions with taxpayer money, investing in the things that actually improve our daily lives, and making sure our communities are safe, functional, and cared for.
Broome County is a place with strong communities and hardworking people, but we’re facing real challenges that need real solutions.
From affordability and government accountability to infrastructure and public safety, residents deserve leadership that is focused, transparent, and committed to making meaningful improvements. That’s why I’m running for County Legislature.
-
Too much taxpayer money is being spent without clear results for the people who live here.
I will fight to:
Reevaluate the county Sheriff’s budget after a $7 million increase
Oppose spending $2 million on the ICE agreement and push to cancel it
Ensure public funds are used responsibly and transparently
Broome County residents deserve to know where their money is going, and to see real benefits from it.
-
Access to clean, safe water should never be a question.
In parts of my district, water quality is a serious concern and residents deserve action, not excuses.
I will:
Push to secure proper funding for long-promised water filtration improvements
Investigate how previously allocated funds were redirected
Ensure future infrastructure funding is used as intended
This is about basic quality of life. We need to get it right.
-
Children should be safe walking to school. Right now, that’s not always the case in Endicott.
I will prioritize:
Funding for crossing guards near schools
Traffic calming solutions like speed bumps in school zones
Practical safety improvements that actually slow drivers down
We cannot accept kids getting hit by cars as “normal.” This is preventable.
-
Broome County should be a place we’re proud to live in and proud to show off.
With major events like the Dick’s Open bringing visitors from across the country, our communities should reflect that pride.
I will work to:
Advocate for improvements to Main Street in Endicott
Support beautification efforts in key areas
Push for state-level investment where needed
When we invest in our communities, we support local businesses and strengthen our economy.
